This tote was created because I was decorating it while in a bad mood. It was painted using Sunspot glaze, giving it a range of metallic finishes.
There is a stunning section on the reverse that is a matte finish on an array of colours.
Raku pieces are made, dried, bisque fired before they are then glazed with special raku glazes. They are placed inside a raku kiln, outside and heated with gas. Once they have reached around 1000oc, they are removed and placed inside metal bins, filled with paper and sawdust. This catches fire and lids are placed on top and the bins are covered with water. After around 10minutes, we open the bins and cool down the items inside.
It's complete luck and praying to the kiln gods! This makes them specialist ceramics, completely unique and collector's items.
These should be fine to hold plants. Please note that excess carbon may reside inside, so if you place flowers/water inside, this may affect them.
